I'll take a crack at this.
MonoW Devotion, trying out the no borderpost version to see how it felt. The night was bad but I don't blame the deck changes, just a lot of really unfortunate variance. Not sure if I should run Flagstones to thin the deck more or if that's too greedy given that it's trash vs D&T and Blood Moon.
Round 1 vs Izzet Phoenix
Game 1 - He resolves a Pyromancer's Ascension on T2 and I drew lands for the first 7 turns. On the bright side he saw none of my deck except plains and cards that fetch plains.
Game 2 - My sideboard plan comes through, Runed Halo on several threats, Leyline in the opener and a Rule of Law to finish it off. I didn't even get to cast anything flashy before he scooped.
Game 3 - Got him in a soft lock this time, Halo on Awakened Horror and Phoenix, Leyline active and a decent board. Jace does Jace things and gets trash out of his hand, Norn makes removing my Archangel of Tithes hard but I draw lands for five straight turns until he finds a Crackling Drake and just bounces my one flyer and ends it.
Round 2 vs GB Elves
Game 1 - Mull to 5, slow hand. Ran over quickly.
Game 2 - Mull to 6, don't see any sideboard cards but I get to stall for time with a Halo on Dwynen's Elite and resolve an early Norn to lock them out of ever playing an elf again.
Game 3 - Mull to 6, try to stall with Halo but double Shaman of the Pack off the turn 3 CoCo just fucking kills me.
Round 3 vs Grixis Shadow
Game 1 - Mull to 6, Leyline maindeck comes through and makes his hand disruption terrible. On the not so bright side I got stuck on 2 lands for 5 turns so he has plenty of time to recover and beat me to death.
Game 2 - Finally stop mulliganing. T0 Leyline does work, so does T3 Devout Lightcaster to eat a shadow and just generally be a pain. Brisela did the rest.
Game 3 - No leyline, but hand is solid. Sadly the guy drew the nuts, hand answers for days and just kept his Gurmag safe while it beat me to death.
