So I created my first character and I'm about 2 sessions in, and I am loving it especially since I have a fun DM and group to play with.
My character is a skeleton of a deeply religious half-elf, they made a pact forsaking their own death but are doomed to walk the earth forever, a husk of what they used to be, unable to be healed by normal means, wear armor, or speak Common or Elvish, they roam the countryside looking for what they once lost, their charisma is rather high for intimidation, deception, and performance, as dancing is part of their former religious rites, now lost to time. They use warlock powers to banish foes that would otherwise hurt them, often dying in the process, losing everything they own and sinking into the earth to be reformed later.
The party finds my character, Ud-roon, in the forest, their pearlescent bones rubbed clean by years of wear, wearing a robe and standing looking at the sun. They take in the skeleton, who helps them in fights but often standing around witless. After having slain enough foes, their outergod takes notice of them, and gives them two invocations, Agonizing Blast and Mask of Many Faces, along with a Book of Shadows, which teaches them the comprehend language spell. Using both of those, Udroon begins neurotically casting them on themselves, presenting themselves almost as if they were living once again, jogging memories of the wayward skeleton. Although an illusion and being unable to speak, the skeleton begins to remember some of it's former life, using the rest of the spells in the book of shadows to help them reclaim their former life, Prestidigitation and Spare the Dying. Vowing themselves once again to be a Cleric and heal and protect those, under the sign of the Godess of Mercy. (Multiclassing)
The outergod, knowing his influence will be spread so long as the skeleton walks the earth, smiles. The Goddess of Mercy unable to grant the abomination salvation, grants it, the ability to cure others suffering.
