The game is very cut and dry. "Killing bad. Sparing good." >boring battles
I noted that the bullet hell rpg bit is something i enjoy, but otherwise, battles are repetitive and samey unless they introduce dumb gimmicks >art
Look at frisk's damn legs. I mostly refer to the overworld sprites, not shopsprites or talksprites>lore
Obsfucation does not mean it's better or more complex. Likewise, the power of human souls makes one wonder why any monster who just hung around a deathbed a few times before they got fucked to oblivion didn't become a supergod. If six human souls could do that, imagine what a monster in the overworld with some ambition would do?
Note that my criticisms do not apply to delta rune. While i still dislike it and find the writing subpar, the art has definitely been improved and the gametime less padded, with battles being more fluid and organic.
