>>63091980>I mean, it's an Ark Mechanicus, one of, if not the, most powerful ships in the Imperium
Yes, yes, it's a huge fucking capital ship, but it's still one ship versus a whole planet>and it's obviously a small tomb that hasn't activated fully yet
It's explicitly stated to have forces numbering in the millions and they are fully awake when you go to the final mission, that's kinda the whole point of that awakening meter you're watching the whole campaign.
But as it turns out, when you kill the Necrons leadership, their baseline warrior types because easy prey, so all those numbers they have mean nothing, a crack force of AdMech can slaughter vastly many times their own number after assassinating the Overlord without much difficulty.>The fully awakened dynasties are something that'd require a full-blown Imperial crusade to put down properly.
This I can agree with, but it's still doable. Necrons are far from unbeatable like that other poster was trying to say.>>63092034>the cogboys are the protagonists, so of course they are going to win.
That's a lame argument, it's totally possible for the protags of a video game to die at the end in a heroic last stand. Halo: Reach did it.
