Lots of tempting choices here - excellent work balancing things. However, three choices stick out to me in particular:>Enchanted Item: Reloading Trap
The least likely I personally would be to pick, but a strong option nonetheless. Chomp/poison/snare a few animals, and evolve into a self-propelled form - then start hunting. With enough durability, power, and mobility enchantments, you could start taking legendary monsters and eventually gods by surprise.>Monstrous Animal (Crab)
The most "standard" of the three ideas I had, but a solid one nonetheless. In a fantasy world, its biological immortality wouldn't be limited by size, amphibiousness lets me take advantage of the ludicrous aquatic evolution tree without forcing me to stay there 24/7, and natural armor grants excellent survivability - though a magical line is probably a good idea for the resistances and versatility.>Air Elemental (cloud)
Not quite as much power as the other two, but unparalleled comfiness - you have approximately five threats (really dry air, getting trapped underground, magicians, stronger elementals, and those shit-ass lightning-proof flying filter-feeders that have literally nothing to do but eat cloud elementals all day) while having ludicrously easy growth conditions (be in damp air, aka above water) and, once you're strong enough, absolutely bukkaked in shamanistic petitions to trade mana for you to bring/shoo away rain, have lightning strike their enemies down, and more. Plus, you can farm extra xp by shanking
striking down vulnerable monsters, miscellaneous ne'er-do-wells, or just anyone you don't like the look of.
That's roughly in ascending order of how nice they'd be, so I'll probably take the last one unless either of the other two are stronger than I expected.
