I didn't quite get the deck at first and figured it to be some kind of traditional tempo deck, but I get the value of generating a ton of card advantage through the graveyard and acencion.
I would say it is weak to a lot of incidental graveyard hate, but the deck can function as a worse tempo deck without a graveyard so there is some value there.
I question if acension is good enough for a card that has no impact for several turns, needs the graveyard to work, then requires you to cast cards to get value. It seems too dependent on doing other things.
Desperate ravings doesn't seem better than Tormenting Voice in most situations because it discards a card at random, and flashbacking it removes it from the graveyard anyhow. If youre trying to get Pyromancer Acension to work, maybe just turn remand and desperate ravings into a 4 of a single card? Logic knot maybe?
I wonder if faithless looting and desperate ravings are being used to their full extent. They are very good in certain contexts, but without cards like lingering souls, dredge cards, gurmag angler, flamewake pheonix, snapcaster mage, etc it looses a lot of shine.
If you want a dig deck and like young pyromancer, maybe try two of monastery mentor?
With thought scour and faithless looting, maybe snapcaster and grim lavamancer can do some real work. Cryptic serpent and bedlam reveler might be worth considering. Keranos is certainly spicy if you are looking to grind
Maybe cut enigma drake, 2 acension, desperate ravings, manamorphose, add 4 snap, 2 reveler, 2 lavamancer, two mentor for example. It would certainly swing the deck in a much grinder direction.
Obviously if you are testing with the deck you have a much better understanding of the deck to make changes, but I just had some observations.
