See, I'm on board with your Stan Lee meme. The difference is that Doomguy, especially the new one, barely even counts as established.
And again, I don't have a strong preference. I'd just react with a, "Huh, neat," followed by, "You know, I wonder if there's any porn of that?" before getting on with my day.
You should try it some time; it's very therapeutic.>>57207005
I have more objection to that because there's a hell of a lot more defining her than the few games Doomguy has... But as I'm not a hypocrite then yeah, sure, go ahead and replace her. No skin off my back; I'll just be less likely to buy the game. We expect a tiny bit more from Samus these days, than we used to. Doomguy on the other hand is simple in a way that even a protagonist like Samus is not.
Doomguy we don't even have one single line of dialogue; ALL we know about him is>Hella ancient>Kills demons with extreme awesomeness>Gives enough of a fuck to save innocents
Samus on the other hand, we have more history; more backstory; spoken dialogue; personality; characters she gets along with; a whole structure of the federation she interacts with; the comics that show her squad from when she was in the federation; how she interacts with those innocents she saves... She's still pretty barebones (if you discount Other M, which you fucking should) but she still has more to her than Doomguy.>>57207095
How interesting; I don't recall saying a single thing that even vaguely makes it sound like I hold that opinion. Could you please point me to where you got that impression from me, Anon, as I'd like to correct this misunderstanding right away.
