On a different note: I've been thinking about stripping the characters of their half level bonus on all but their skillchecks and the +x on magic gear, keeping it to a max of +1. Then of course i would have to adjust monster stats accordingly.
The goal is to keep lower level monsters viable in higher levels if play and introduce higher level monsters into lower level games, while also keeping magic items interesting beyond "cool i hit better now"
Any thoughts on that? Has it been done before? Did it work?
