They tried to save the women and children, but they couldn't even save themselves. Now their corpses struggle against our doors, and their stench fills the elevator shafts. The skyscraper's roof is our fortress, an entire city besieges us.
The world isn't over for us yet. Up on the roof, we have shelter and several decades worth of food. The rainwater collectors are working fine, and the lack of bullets is less of a problem when puppy can regularly cull any groups of undead forming ir or around the building. He's good at hunting, and leading the super zombies away is easy when you aren't quite so strictly bound by the "laws" of physical reality as I am.
Well, little Sarah doesn't seem harshly bound by physical reality either. When she throws a tantrum, things _change_ and puppy hides back in the dark space between heartbeats. And these days Sarah has panic attacks whenever she sees him, even though he's our main protection against the dead...
For now, we wait up here and hope rescue is coming. In a few months Sarah should have fewer panic attacks : we'll look for a way to leave the city and search for civilization.
Super zombies hunt and multiply. Night gets longer and colder every day. Hopefully we won't have a hard winter...
