Don't take it personally. The guy you were playing with was part of the category of tabletop gamers called "floaters" who lack long-term permanent groups of friends to game with. They're called floaters because they float between groups, getting kicked out or voluntarily leaving, over and over again because of their shitty behaviour, mental instability, and emotional immaturity. For the most part (there are, of course, exceptions) people who have long-term stable groups are better-behaved and easier to deal with. You just got unlucky.
