>>9771406An AI with a 500+ IQ isn't going to solve anything? if you say so. Again, this is why i no longer debate people,
I back a couple of technologies, 1. Strong AI, 2. Anti aging tech, 3. robotics; and a couple of sci fi' ish level things.
When someone tells me an AI with a 1,000+ IQ wont be any smarter than a researcher with a 130 IQ, well, we are just Larp'ing.
The other thing is, the beauty of AI , once it launches into the 500+ IQ range, unlike humans who want to debate and argue and introduce their own personal biases and bullshit about how they feel the world should work, An AI is just going to start working on a problem and keep working til it has the solution.
"BUT, Anon! how will an AI do lab work?!"
i'm pretty sure the AI with a 500 IQ will figure it out
There will also be the same kinds of AI's simultaneously working on Crispr, nanotechnology, etc.......
InB4 , there's no such thing as AI, followed by strong AI is a 100 years off.
The other thing. I don't think most researchers comprehend just how much time they waste on average, and how little time they actually spend working. Shows up at 10am, works 2 hours, leaves for a 2 hour lunch, leaves at 3, takes Friday off, couple months, or more, of vacation, conferences that are an excuse to go on exotic vacations and play golf, rarely reads new materials.
compared against my AI friend being built: Has read and comprehends every book ever written on what it is working on, is instantaneously being updated in real time with every new book, paper, journal, even random articles on the subject, IQ isnt static - will constantly be updating and advancing, and here is the best part it will work 24/7/365, humans dont work that hard even if their lives depended on it.
But Anon!! my funding and my second house!
