>>9758120Not him but actually water in a pipe is a pretty good analog for electricity. There are lots of differences in the physics but if you wanted to teach both at macro level to a child your best bet would be with some clear pipes and glitter to see the movement of the water.
Voltage is analogous to pressure
current is analogous to flow rate
resistance is analogous to friction
voltage source = pump
Resistors = tubes with high friction/small diameter.
Capacitors = springy barriers like a balloon or something
Inductors = pump/propeller hooked up to a flywheel
switches = valves
Diodes = one way pressure valves
