Hello /sci/. This is /biz/ here. I wanted to ask which is the most mathematically optimal option for me to pursue regarding my crypto holdings? /biz/ is too retarded to answer this:

/biz-sci/ here. Always sell gradually as it's going up, and then start to buy back in as it goes down. Some trades will gain you money and some will lose you money, but due to crypto's insane volatility, you will make money in the long run if you can keep a level head.

It's hard to give you a good answer to your situation without knowing how much money you have outside of crypto and what your initial investment was, as well as your income level.

It sounds like 10K isn't that much money to you, and if you are limiting yourself to all or nothing options you are better off holding for at least a few years. In my opinion, there are much better chances of crypto going 10X+ than going to 0, so your expected portfolio value is clearly higher than your current value.

If the money is important to you, just cash out half and let the other half ride.

Dont deny yourself the 100k. Bitcoin and other cryptos will only get higher so if you cut out you are a retard. If it falls it will only get larger.

But be smart try making this if you can. When you reach a predetirmined point for exmaple you have 10k profit cash out before something dingey starts happenning on your secondarry account., but leave primary one pluged. So if you fail you dont totaly fail but remember crypto wont fail anytime soon and after a war it would only be higher in value.

Depends on your crypto currency. Bitcoin probably wont go much higher from this point unless the value of the dollar drops significantly, it will stay stable at about $10,000 per BTC for the next few months to years with occasional spikes. Bitcoins block chain system is inherently flawed though, and the currency will eventually die. The way bitcoin works is with a blockchain transaction ledger. The blockchain is encrypted and contains every transaction that bitcoin has ever made. This makes it very difficult to counterfeit bitcoins, because if you try to “copy” one before you sell it and then sell the copy, the original will have that one extra transaction on its blockchain. The same goes for if you sell the copy first, the copy would have one extra transaction in the blockchain that the original would be missing. The bitcoin algorithm always defaults to the bitcoin with the longest blockchain ledger in the case of nearly identical ledgers. So in the first example the copy is worthless because its missing one transaction from its ledger, and in the second example the original is worthless for the same reason, and the copy becomes the real bitcoin. The blockchain is encrypted in SHA-256 which cannot be reverse decrypted so counterfeits are impossible. So to make a transaction requires computers from all over the world to essentially brute force the SHA-256 encryption in the forward direction until one gets it right and adds that transaction to the blockchain. This process takes an insane amount of processing power and luck and is rewarded with a bitcoin. The result is a longer, more difficult blockchain and another bitcoin. As the blockchain gets longer it takes more processing power to solve, making every transaction and mining operation take slightly longer over time(on average). Transaction and mining speed will keep slowing until the blockchain becomes unsolvable. (Cont.)
