Piezoelectric Materials Thread
Questions: What is the most sturdy Piezoelectric Material?
What Piezoelectric Material actually generates reasonable amperage and voltage?
Is there any piezoelectric material that's distortion can power an actual motor?
Discussion/Opinion:
Last I checked they were all baby mode. Lead Titanate was still king, for industrial application.
PVDF film was sensor king.
However, I just saw that Virginia Tech is 3D Printing Piezoelectric Polymer now.
Further Questions:
So... Where do we stand on actual Piezo electricity harvesting?
Is solar still better? I want to make devices that are piezo powered, but are like electric scooter level in terms of the forces involved.
Are we there yet? Why not?
