People who say he's not a scientist are generally trying to attack him because they don't agree with him so because he isn't a researcher he has no idea what he's talking about. That's pretty stupid as his job is to have a broad knowledge of other scientists work so he can entertain and effectively communicate their work to the general public. Actual researchers are mostly spergs and are terrible at this.
