What is time?

Hi /sci/
what's a good scientific definition for time? I think of time passing as change in the conditions of a system and that time passes "forward" because that is just how entropy works in this universe. Also it would make sense to think of a smallest possible step length (i.e. time period) for a condition to change inside a system, the planck length. However, special relativity tells us that time is not absolute and we've already demonstrated time dilation. That would make it a "real" physical quantity. Halp
