I have to say that southerners seem to have pretty high IQ being able to literally be everywhere and always be well connected in some way or another, they're natural hustlers, just with low ability to see the bigger picture and collaborate for a greater good(early education's fault, schools are objectively shit there with few exceptions, maybe today it's a little bit better compared to 20 years ago). So their hustling mostly goes towards themselves and enabling doing less for more individual gains at the disadvantage of the whole community.
Northerners are more accustomed to first world customs and good practices, but are adverse to teaching that to others firstly because it isn't an innate quality, it's taught since childhood, and secondly teaching an adult to be mindful of others when he never even learnt the basic concepts behind living in a sustainable and well maintained community will make you want to hit him in the face more often than not.
>>10568554Height has little to do with anything. Romans had armies and a well organized empire to back them up with supplies and the surrounding population had grunts with pointy sticks. So I'd say it's a matter of organization and information shared and preserved throughout generations, they were good at that. Plus Alps and the Mediterranean sea are a natural defense that probably gave them an advantage early on.
