I'm currently only on page 48 out of 229 and have learned more than I have in high geometry w/ trig. all I remember from highschool lessons pretty much taught SOHCAHTOA the Indian princess

Is this normal? i'm taking calc 2 this coming spring semester and wasn't expecting to learn so much. I was under the impression that the book was a "starter".

Also, this book is /sci/'s assumed reading last. I'm a newfag but really pushing to get better with math
