Hi /sci/.
This is a thread about my new inventions.
I am a computer scientist with some inventions to circuitry components, biodes and transratiometers, that when etched into a circuit, will make computers much faster, smaller, and more efficient. Please read my BIODES AND TRANSRATIOMETERS paper here:

I believe you have made fundamental errors in your understanding of charge distribution, but you need to have concrete examples. In basic transistor courses we cover integration, so do all the physical modelling you want.

Is that a theory or are there working prototypes? Silicon alone doesn't work that way.
Assuming you could somehow get it to work, if the efficiency is the same, you can't make it smaller, you still have to dissipate the excess current. You must make it more efficient to allow it to be smaller. Which brings me back to my previous question of it's physical properties.

Interesting concepts for sure, but have you considered how such a device would actually be constructed? All of the circuits in your paper would work if these devices existed, however I have no reason to believe that you know how to actually design such a device. In your diagrams it doesn't describe the doping of the silicon, geometry of any junctions you plan to implement, or what metal materials you're using. Additionally based on your diagram, all of your pins are being electrically connected by silicon meaning your silicon is basically just a resistor between between all of your metal contacts. You claim that they will divide voltage but you don't say how they will do it. Also you say that these will be lower wattage, but have you considered how you will still need to limit the current through these devices? The current through a pn junction (or shottky junction) will increase exponentially with applied voltage, so unless you clamp the input rail to your circuit at approximately the forward voltage of the device, or current limit these will either burn up and destroy themselves or sink massive amounts of current.

bro i just ripped the black casing on and fused some metal wires with compensatory surface area to direct the current, directly onto the silicon. why do these schematics matter? a transistor could be a chunk of silicon in any fashion which you want to organize it.

no bitch, if you have a transistor after one of those 1/2 V that is not active, which is very common in computers, the voltage will back right up and go double through another transistor on the other side of that divide. you need irreversible current from a biode.

That doesn't half the voltage, all that does is split the current evenly between the two output pins. Like I said, your diagrams only say "silicon" so all of your devices function like a resistor between all terminals.

So much wrong with this. You should know that the depletion channel formed in a mosfet is very different from a normal pn junction (which conducts holes and electrons under foward bias) and even if it was the same you'd still see an ass load of current if you didn't add some current limiting element

Really? I thought they were simply "silicon" as described in your diagrams and paper. Even if it was npn, you use the term "transistor" so generically (almost interchangebly with mosfet) we have no idea what you're actually talking about. Also, if you're planning on basing these devices on mosfets it's extremely concerning that there's no oxide layer in your diagrams.

u people are talking in circles my inventions work fine, read how simple the schematics are compared to google image results of logic gates n u will see.

try to design a working circuit with resistors and no biodes and transratiometers. it won't work as good without them.

And modern ICs don`t like resistors, they are VERY big in comparison with the transistors, like milimiter big. That is why you could reverse engineer old chips with just a microscope and acid baths, because they were huge and had few parts and that is the reason old TTL had big chips for simple logic functions and took quite a while to fit all that into functioning computers. And what the fuck do you mean with splitting the current? IC designers use current mirrors to do that, changing the area of the transistors to change the ratio between currents. literally what the fuck man.

I`m all in for mixing diferent areas, but for fucks sakes study more and know your shit before writing papers and humiliating yourself.

You're getting help alright, it's just not what you expected.
You're clearly not well versed in electronics, much less anything to do with semiconductors and logic. You even demonstrated that you don't understand Ohm's Law, which is basic bitch stuff and literally the first thing anybody learns about electronics.
We're telling you that you don't have a revolutionary discovery and you need to educate yourself in electronics until you at least have a basic understanding of all the components you claim your inventions make obsolete.
It's a tough pill to swallow, but you're going to have to do it sooner or later if you ever want actual success.

Having a way to divide voltage is useful. There's probably millions of ways to do it, which is why your invention (assuming it works) is nothing special.
Splitting a voltage into two outputs is also trivially easy.

I am pretty sure you miss my point. If you read my diagrammes, these inventions don't make transistors and resistors obsolete, just make them work better in computers conjoined with them.
