Thoughts on John K's current artstyle? I've heard some people say he's trying to go for a more Milt Gross style, but I looked at some of that guy's work and his stuff looked appealing but I couldn't say the same for most of John's recent work.

It caught my eye in catalog and made me want to see more, so does that answer your question? John K is a great cartoonist & caricaturist, whatever else you can say about his works and the man himself. His stuff can border on the grotesque but that's kind of the point, it's not going to be sexy anime girls. This looks good too, really fun with nice easy flowing line, but I think his 4th drawing of her is a little better in some ways, maybe overall. The last drawing of "Josh" is good too.

John K should just be an illustrator. His recent cartoons have sucked major ass. Cans Without Labels was a travesty. I like the drawings on his blog, though.

He really should just stick to illustration, his recent style just doesn't look good animated, although I wonder if that has to do with his own limitations or the style itself.
