Basically just observe your surroundings or the work of artists you look up to. Ask why they made the artistic decisions they did. Observe how light affects things in your environment, like your skin or the curtains, or whatever. Look closely at your own body, and pay attention to how fat, muscle, and bone act when you move, and where your skin creases. How many knuckles in your thumbs, where exactly, which directions joints can and cannot bend, etc. Typically art gains work best when you have a focus or goal so just choose something you think you need to work on and think about it a lot, with visual reference for study.
