With perspective and construction skills you can make observation/proportions actually fun to do and learn something while doing it instead of just trying to copy measurements.
You also only need very little perspective skills to get enormous gains in all other areas. Obviously you only need advanced perspective skills if you work with hard perspective so anything that are not the basics can be skipped till you want to do such pictures. Next would be construction.
With construction I mean the construction of the human body because it can be applied to everything and will make everything else much easier since the human body offers pretty much all shapes and is really complex and the human body is the most important drawing subject anyway. While learning the human body you will obviously do gestures and learn something about anatomy, tough you can hold back a little when it comes to learning every single bone and muscle, this can be studied later.
You learn composition the moment you can draw individual things and want to make something that feels more complete. Same with rendering. There is no point in rendering if you can't even draw easy objects and there is no point in composition if you can't draw shit or you may dive right into abstract bullshit.
I feel the moment you got perspective and the construction of the human body down you can do whatever you want. Being able to construct the human body relatively freely makes you immediately an intermediate artist.
