A couple other things that helped me:
1- get a CHEAP sketchbook, the cheaper the better. This isn't the sketchbook you'll do sketchbook tours of on YouTube, it's not meant to have pretty drawings in it, it's just meant to be a dump for all your roughest ideas and experiments.
2- realize that everybody makes shit drawings, even the amazing artists you look up to. They just don't show them to anybody. But failed drawings are part of the process, and you need them in order to improve. This is the sketchbook where you can safely store all these drawings.
3- realize that nobody cares about your art being bad, they are more concerned about others thinking THEIR art is bad. Everybody is mostly just focused on themselves, so chances are no one will judge you for not producing amazing artwork (especially if they don't get to see it). There are 6 year olds posting their terrible drawings on Instagram every damn day, be those 6 year olds.
