I’m a SFW artist who made a NSFW alias (I just draw it whenever I feel like it). I don’t have any problem with porn and I think if you draw porn or can make a living off it, more power to you. That’s great.
I got good engagements on my NSFW alias and got to mingle with a lot of popular artists who do this stuff all the time. Initially I was pretty excited, they’re all good and I respect them so I thought it would be cool to get to know them, but I can’t deny it, for some reason they’re all just a little... odd.
Everything is sex related topic wise or sex related jokes, it’s kind of endless, and their boundaries don’t seem the same as the average artist like I’d engage with on my SFW account.
I’m not trying to put them down but it’s just something I’ve noticed. They also tend to be really depressed for some reason, I’m assuming it’s the fact they are shoved in to a box where they are obligated to draw porn and commissions even if they don’t want to at all times.
So I don’t think it’s the best thing for your mental health. The mind needs a breather at times.
