Split the hand into different pieces in your mind. You’re drawing it very literally, and it looks bad because you’re copying something you don’t comprehend. So try to break down the hand a bit first. The palm is like a square with a thin rectangle on top, then the fingers are segmented, snd the space by the thumb on the palm, has a rounded edge rather than a square edge
