I mean sure, Frenches have some nicely drawn and rendered artsy stuff but in overall, it took batman a while to get a little bit more detailed.
Plus, our comic industry is tightly tied with cartoon industry churning weekly episodes and weekly stuff is basically outline drawing filled with bucket.
In addition, western comic drawn in simplified way, using inking methods developed by western artists gave birth to our own comic/cartoon style, which is not really detailed.
But hey, if it lets artists keep their deadlines and people buy it, why not I guess.
