>>3714439Thanks! In regards to self promotion tips - I'm not the best person to ask (I only have around 4k followers!), but here's some ways I feel helped me:
1. Hashtags work, and they work to varying degrees. You can definitely get a few followers per post by using all 30 hashtags.
displaypurposes.com helps come up with relevant hashtags easily that you can copy/paste.
2. Getting tagged in stuff from other accounts - especially if they're large - is a huge help. Sometimes this is a bit of luck, like a fandom blog shares your relevant fan art and links back to you. If you have stuff published with someone via a career opportunity you took advantage of, they'll often share it and link back to you.
3. I've only done this a few times, but sharing stuff to relevant subreddits can be a really nice boost in new followers. Especially so if you manage to get to the top posts / front page. When you post you can immediately comment with some info about the work, and then a link back to your Instagram for those interested. This method works really well if you have any fan work you can share to the relevant subreddits.
