>>3309706>"pretty good at drawing"
yeah i think you've misjudged your own skills … a lot. If that pic is an example of your "extraordinary skills" in your teens, I hate to say it but you are average as fuck. Look around a bit more and you will discover the same angst ridden imagery in any kid who draws.
you've moved on to painting portraits way too fast. tracing without basic understanding or practice of portrait drawing/painting is a dead give-away. I'm painting since ten years and I'm mainly drawing from life as well. As I said, you have no understanding of shapes and depth in faces, foreshortening, your color choices - although you are merely and lazily "coloring in" the trace like a child - are poor, unmotivated and don't support the motif. you backgrounds are dead and mushy (i know i know, it's memes, but I thought painting memes is exactly your point).
and above all, look at you, you ae hiding behind laughing memes when you get criticism.
I can tell right away if a painting or portrait is executed well, that's why I said that in all these paintings here >>3308475
, you don't even need to click the thumbnail, I can tell it's a trainwreck of a very bad translation via tracing.
but just a friendly question to close it off: do you sell your memes? any buyers for that, and if there are any, who are they (age, background, related to you?)? how much do you charge?
we all know that selling is no criteria for quality. even sunday painters club members may sell their garish flower paintings to unknowing morons like themselves.
