>>3243512I took him this fall term, basically he teaches you how to draw fast and efficient while communicating with just enough information, on whatever you're drawing. How to break down certain subject, and how to render part or all of a draw in a quick fashion.
When drawing onsite, whether it was a cafe or trying to draw a bird nearby I would focus way too much on detail instead of the pose and getting the overall subject now. What would take me 30 minutes to draw a rendered wild bird now takes me 5 maybe 10 if I fully render.
His class was extremely fun and he's actually amazing in person, he would just fill the damn white board in minutes demoing whatever subject we were drawing and he actually cares about your progress. We had a side project where we could make concept art/world build and that was also enjoyable.
Of course I got to sit in a class personally with him so idk how any virtual/prerecorded classes would go but if it's anything like the demo's he does in each lecture there's no reason you can't follow along, he's pretty clear with it. All you would miss out would be him walking by, peaking at your work, and helping you 101.
