And it's also one of those things that you don't or shouldn't make much of an effort to consciously choose because you'll just wind up limiting yourself. Not to mention you can't even really have a style until you're a competent enough artist and what I mean by that is that the less "mistakes" your art has in it the more your art will have been made by deliberate conscious decision (or unconscious I should say) and thus your style will show through. We see lots of amateur artists try to adopt the anime style and it sucks right? Their art is stiff and they don't appreciate the subtitles that made that style popular to begin with which is because they don't have a firm grasp on the fundamentals that the style is based on.
SO your best bet would be to study anatomy from many sources. Look at what comic book artists emphasize, do life drawing, just observe people day to day and try to draw them from memory etc. The gist of it is that the less you have to think about what you're drawing the more your personal flare will shine through. Your personal interests will outweigh any bias you're worried about picking up from the sources you study from so don't worry about it too much.
Getting good at anatomy, like all things, takes TIME. I'm talking years dude. Just keep drawing and appreciate what you learn and think about how to implement it into your next drawing.
