>>3175985What's to learn in art? Hear me out: any other craft tends to be pretty clear about how things are done. If you want to learn engineering, it's all clearly laid out and there are specific things to learn that you can study. With art there isn't anything like that, it's just "practice", in the broad sense, which means you can endlessly grind "fundamentals" and still amount to nothing. Your art can have absolutely flawless anatomy but maybe you never get to learn how to make appealing linework in the first place, how do you learn that? I know there are many things that I don't understand and are written nowhere, how do you pick those up except "experience" which is basically trial and error which may or may not give you answers?
You guys make it sound like art is all laid out, it's vague as fuck. This is why it's so frustrating to learn once you figured out the basics.
