All of this will help America win the space race somewhat because something something respiratory system. Okay.
Every single villain is the most caricatured Evil White Man imaginable, so much that it comes off as satirical except the movie is absolutely straight faced throughout.

- Homophobia
- Ableism
- Racism
By abusing and mistreating these poor people. Mute girl meets and for some reason falls in love with the fish in the tank who doesn't display any particularly human behavior. She manages to sneak a huge ass phonograph in a secret services facility and play music loudly several times without getting caught.
However, this ragtag band of misfits manages to sneak the creature away and put it in a bathtub. They have to add salt to the water because as we all know, the Amazon river is saltwater. The level of interaction between the woman and the fish man never goes further than what you can achieve with your average gorilla. No further effort is made to humanize what is in all regards an animal, who also eats the family cat and nobody bats an eyelash. On the contrary, mute woman must have found this arousing because she decides so have sex with this animal. She decides for some reason to clog the door and fill the room with water--
