>>96099701>>96102066>Nothing matters so do whatever you wantThis is the philosophy of rick and Morty. It's not really anything deep or profound in anyway.
I hate this philosophy, because it's simply a cop out. Nothing has any meaning or consequence therefore I do whatever I please. This expresses itself by getting as much immediate pleasure in any form that is seen fit. This is personified by rick who drinks, does drugs, and takes whatever he wants with no regard for anything or anyone. And some people look at rick's philosophy and think he's so intellectual and unironically view him as a role model. It's pretty clear that they rick is portrayed, putting this world view in practice is not a good a way to live. Yet people live this way.
You anons interpretation might be a more positive take on it, but I hate how people use this philosophy as an excuse to absolve themselves of responsibility. If everyone acted this way society wouldn't function and we'd be living in some roadless ancap caliphate.
Humans beings, need purpose. It's why we invented religion. Just because the universe doesn't hand you a purpose on a silver platter doesn't mean you should do drugs and fuck till you die. You have to give the universe a purpose.
