>>95525714>Really they've always had plenty of minorities in comics, roughly in proportion.>>95525755>do you really think baseball cards don't include minorities? That's one of the reasons comparing the episode to comics doesn't work since minorities are allowed to exist as comic characters, or baseball-cards. But Kappa-cards weren't.
The episode set up a problem of something not being allowed to exist, and people are comparing it to something that are allowed to exist even if it doesn't always work.
The other problem is that Pow-cards are of the actual person themselves, and not just of certain individuals, like baseball-cards, or of random people who only share physical traits with you, like comics.
People don't care for minority pandering comics/shows because even though that person is from the same country as you/have the same skin color, that doesn't mean you have anything else in common with them or find them interesting as a character, but people love having shit that shows off themselves, as Pow-cards does.
So while diversity bullshit doesn't work financially, because it panders to the "group", stuff like Pow-cards might, since they pander to the individual.
They're completely different products, which is the second reason why comparing them doesn't work.
