You know, I was going over the various character art we got last year, and for some reason it got me thinking about a VN/survival horror game about the Ghoul School (or some knockoff of it, considering some of the ideas are hardcore non-canon).
Basically you, a human, get transferred to the Ghoul School by mistake, and find yourself surrounded by monsters, all of which have a burning desire to eat/drink/experiment on/kill humans. You meet three girls right off the bat, and you have to lie about what kind of monster you are. You have three choices: android, skinwalker or ghoul, and the characters will continue to think of you as that monster as the game goes on. But be warned: certain monsters are less liable to believe you right off the bat (for instance, Cassidy the ayylien will totally swallow the idea of you being a akinwalker or a ghoul, but she's far more suspicious if you say you're an android since she knows tech and you don't look particularly mechanical), leading to the survival horror aspect: every decision in the game comes with real, genuine risks in that if you choose wrong, you arouse suspicion among your peers about your true identity. If you fail too many times (represented by a "suspicion meter" in the main menu), the school enters "hunt mode", and you basically have to navigate your way to the forest outside the school via interactions with the now ravenous monster girls (so, for instance, when you run into Winnie, you have like three seconds to decide how to avoid her attacking you, and only one decision will let you leave the encounter alive).
There are other ideas I have about this but I'm rambling and kind of drunk, I just hope we get more original content this year because I like being inspired this way.
