>>94147607First heard about it here. Probably 2014, maybe 2013? Didn't watch the first episode the day it came out in Jan. 2015, but saw it within days of that and kept up since.
>First half of S1Disappointed it wasn't as magical girl/unique as I'd expected based on what I knew and how it was hyped up. Seemed to be "just" an okay comedy. At the same time there was a lot I liked, mainly the art and universe, and so I'd look for fanart and stick up for it when it regularly got shit on here. But there wasn't much going on and I couldn't say much about it beyond stuff like "I liked that episode."
>Fortune CookiesInterested that we had an actual villain and plot and started to post more. Felt like it was getting better or at least not so throwaway.
>Storm the CastleSurpassed my expectations and made me expect it would get much better in S2. Started posting regularly about it, became a lorefag, finally considered it a show I genuinely was a fan of and not just one I'd casually watch.
>S2, 1-3Impressed by how strong it started and how much of a sense of purpose there seemed to be re: plot and character development. Considered it better than S1.
>S2, 4-5Despite these episodes not being BAD, they were weak and seemed to lack that purpose, and I worried if maybe the writers didn't know what the fuck and S2 wouldn't be so great.
>Rest of S2AShow immediately picked up, with almost every episode having a great segment. Still wasn't sure how it compared to 1, but really liked it. Bon Bon is my favorite episode of the series.
>S2BReally impressed overall by the plot progression, lore, and just how shit things got for Star. Felt it had become great and completely surpassed S1.
>S3Premiere was fun, writing of episodes and characters seems really strong even compared to 2, but the handling of the larger plot seems questionable as we wait to learn Eclipsa's deal. Sorta wary about how it might go, but overall I did enjoy what I've seen and am looking forward to more.
