>>93915513>Except he is a character and a plot device. He'd have to be an inanimate object not to be a character.Yeah well, you got me. I'm just exaggerating to make a point.
>Unless Glossaryck manipulates things so they can't lose. You know that thing he did throughout 2 seasons. He's manipulated things to make Star's life harder. He's not holding her hand or giving her all the answaers and that's one of the major points of his character. He's cryptic, vague and indirect.
>The problem is that the characters are never going to be challenged because Glossaryck is setting things up so they can't lose.Again, he's setting things up specifically to challenge the good guys. He's totally fucking with the bad guys though.
>Which only works when this character is neutral or not involved in the main plot.destiny is always on the good guys' side, unless you're reading a tragedy or one of those gritty modern fantasy novels where the universe shits on goodness forever.
As for Glossy, he constantly removes himself from the plot by refusing to help because of some trivial gripe of being hungry, tired, sick or just stubborn. He willingly accepted Ludo as his new master and refused to return to Star when she came to save him. Hell he wouldn't even be direct with Ludo. The character goes to great lengths to not be involved directly, because given he knows everything, that would make the show boring.
