Goofy has his normal humanized mind intact and tries to insist that he's the real Gofy but whenever he tries to talk it just comes out as barks. Pluto has him neutered and when he tries to call out for help, all anyone hears is a whimper. Finally he has to be put down after an injury, despite his objections that he's fine, which no one understands.
