>>90114962Once this show is over, I think a lot of character's story arcs will be compared to GF's. Star is a lot like Mabel, while Toffee is a lot like Bill in that he is more powerful than he seems and mysterious.
However, Toffee is more serious to contrast Star's playful personality (like how Bill has a playful personality to contrast Dipper's serious personality.)
Meanwhile, Ludo is similar to Gideon, in that he was a short goofy joke villain, although he's growing out of that role a bit, although I doubt he'll ever be 100% serious since Toffee fills that role.
>>90115216>There will probably turn out to be more to it than that but I'm not expecting a romanceWould you date a guy who cut your mom's head off and wore her skull as a trophy?
>inb4 where do you think we areToffee's shoulder skulls are cool and all, but Moom probably knew and loved the former owners of those skulls.
>>90115793Before canon Boy Star, people would draw him with a headband and other girly stuff making him look like a total fruitcake.
>>90115870Damn that picture is so good.>>90115936>he's a misunderstood little boy with daddy issuesHe's a decrepit old man with daddy issues. People have pointed out the apple thing, but Ludo's daddy issues are another parallel to Star. Marco said that Star had "mother" issues in Sleep Spells.
Ludo also asks "Am I better than Star?" In My New Wand, Glossy and Star have this exchange:
G: You can do magic without your wand, you just have to dip down.
S: Without my wand?
G: Your mom did it.
S: Pfft, if she can do it, I can do it.
For both of them, they were motivated by the desire to be better than someone else due to their insecurity.
