I can barely remember a time Felicity Jones spoke. You're parroting this MARY SUE meme after having seen the movie once and reading a bunch of people online shit on her.

Rey fucking carried that movie and was filled with personality. The fact that she's really good at everything in no way takes away from that. And the complaint is a stupid one in the first place considering she makes multiple mistakes and literally tries to abandon everyone out of fear.

Watch this scene again. Tell me with a straight face Diego Luna and Felicity Jones ever showed this much charisma and emotion even once in the entirety of Rogue One.

Throughout the whole thing she was acting with facial expressions as well. Something Felicity seemed incapable of doing. Compare this scene with escaping Jedha or the rough landing on the next planet.

It's fucking hilarious because Jyn is more of a Mary Sue than Rey EVER was. Jyn has no character and no REAL motivation but everything just works out for her effortlessly. Everyone else around her suffers but Jyn never had to break a sweat or change her facial expression for that matter.

Save her Father after she realizes he didn't leave her behind for no reason and he's actually doing something noble

The dark times era, grew up on Nar Shaddaa. Human, 17 years old. works odd jobs with a wide span of legality, ranging from fething drinks for higher up bosses drinks to running spice, often times both at once.

One day while sloshed at a bar watching a podrace, sees an old man in a cloak get beat up by some dudes. That sucks, but not his problem, till a laser sword hits the floor.

Now its oh shit mode. Donut STEEL jumps up, jacks up the muggers, old man is dying anyway. Gives lightsaber up to man who "Nobly" saved him.

Oc uses it to rob banks now, more like an all powerful plasma torch than an ancient elegant weapon. Learns to use the basics of the weapon, but cant redirect bolts and would lose in a duel against anyone. Basically gets by with what the saber autowins at, like fights vs vibroswords and situations you have to quickly cut through stuff.

I could see them appearing in a series set between the OT and ST, though a bit altered. They could be Force sensitive, since the Jedi aren't really a huge threat to them given how small they are. Might be like old Mandalorians too where they're made up of different species, with the classic look being the most common.

Most people who didn't follow the EU don't have a solid perspective of just how ridiculously played out it was for the next "big galactic crisis" to be ANOTHER imperial, ANOTHER evil Jedi, and/or ANOTHER super weapon. So rather than appreciating the Vong for being something different, they see them as an offensive departure from the classics. Which in a way they were, objectively speaking, but a somewhat necessary one.

It doesn't help that the NJO as a narrative was very inconsistent, with not enough communication between authors and a plethora of overlooked or ignored plot threads or ideas that just didn't work quite right.

I loved it, but I can see why people wouldn't.

I just bought a the x wing starter pack and the force awakens starter pack with some christmas money but I have no clue what to purchase next

I had my eye on the Imperial Veterans pack because that red tie defender is fucking gorgeous. But I don't want the two sides to be too unbalanced. I'm really out of my depth here.

20 on either side, 3 larger ones facing forward. It's an excuse to have a pirate ship and heavily inspired by some Rebel Galaxy ships.

It had a figurehead at some point.

Since lightsabers and the Death Star's laser work with kyber crystals, I'm guessing there's a link between kyber crystals and producing a laser (well it's called "plasma" but you get it).

So... Do blasters work with kyber crystals too ? Apparently the plasma a blaster shoots is the same type as the blade of a lightsaber. But it seems very unlikely that they would work with kyber crystals since they're supposedly rare in the galaxy.
So are those related ?
How does a blaster work anyway ?

Galactic Civil War, some time before Yavin.

A CorSec (wook it) officer who is really good at their job, but is notorious for doing things very not-by-the-book. But he/she normally gets away with it because he/she gets results. Chases murderers and smugglers around Corellia, but sometimes the job requires travelling off-world. Doesn't hate the Empire, but has no love for it either, because, boy, the Imperial liaisons and overseers undermining CorSec's self-sufficiency are such a pain in the ass.

One day a long-time wanted on Corellia smuggling crew was reported off-world, and our hero, determined to deal with the bastards once and for all, sets off to pursue them, ignoring the colleagues' advice to chill and let the Empire deal with them. Finally catches up and confronts them on an Outer Rim planet (which just happens to be Tatooine), a stand-off ensues. The smugglers reveal they work for the Rebellion, and claim they don't do it for money, but to help the poor people oppressed by the evil Empire. Our hero doesn't think that way, because from the Core worlds the Empire doesn't really look that evil. However, his/her worldview is turned upside down when they receive word of the destruction of Alderaan. Decides to join the rebels and helps them get off Tatooine (where security is tight because the Empire is looking for some droids or something), goes to Yavin with them, takes a test on a flight simulator, proves to be a great pilot, and in the end takes part in the battle of Yavin.

Basically, it all began with two separate shitty ideas: what if you made a police crime drama set in the Star Wars universe, and what if there was someone like Tag & Bink but canonical and unironic (e.g. whose story just happens to run parallel to the movies). There was a lot more, how they managed to survive Yavin and took part in ESB and ROTJ, but it's a long story.

which one is more easier on the eyes? I'm replacing most of the insides of my scanned sw comics with official digital sources while preserving the scanned inside covers and other various things that the updated versions don't have.

however once I reached tales of the jedi, I started having doubts. Does anyone else prefer the left side compared to the right? The right seems so pale. I just want to make sure there's nothing wrong with my monitor.

on one hand I feel inclined to go with the right since it's technically the most correct representation you can get. Unless colors somehow look dramatically different on paper than they do on a computer screen (which they do I guess)

this is nothing compared to the dark empire comics though or Cam Kennedys coloring in general. They look incredibly harsh and washed out on every digital source I've looked at.

what would you go with? which one is more definitive

I always go with digital, since I assume it's closer to what the original intended version is supposed to be, as it's not distorted by being printed and then scanned again. The details are sharper, too.

But I see your dilemma since in this instance the digital version looks pale in comparison. Maybe leave both?

If I have to be a mere mortal I'll pick my current SW RPG character. Post Endor but we jumped straight off canon at that point, campaign inspired by pre-Communist takeover, badly splintered China; the characters are a local junta in a peripheral sector. Campaign started with the news of Endor going to shit and the Emperor and Vader peing presumed dead.
I thought about it and made the local Admiral, Wilkes Beaufort of the ISD Exeter. Basically a decent guy, old enough to have come up under the Republic, in principle devoted to the New Order but in the process of realizing that the New Order was never about obeying its own laws.
So the New Order Commonwealth has become a growing star nation that actually holds the moral high ground against the New Republic and influenced its Civil War to put the reform party in charge. (Including pre-war support and actual military action)
Also Beaufort is in charge if the local shipfus like Victory carriers and a defected Executor (8km interpretation) being rebuilt into a dedicated warship, and upgraded fighters.
So yeah, my donut steel is space BRIAN BLESSED spreading liberty one massive turbolaser salvo at a time.

I've always liked for the SW galaxy to be pretty static with few, rare breakthroughs. Technologies go in and out of fashion but there are few genuinely new ones. Ships were smaller in the Old Republic, we see big ones come into fashion and dominate but post-Empire most new ships aren't that huge and dreadnoughts aren't a thing anymore.

Perhaps they shouldn't have set TOR that much earlier than the rest of it though. And perhaps given people those lightsabers with backpack powerpacks etc. Just to give the weapons some older feel.

The point of Nihlus and Sion's abilities were specifically that they were a lot better on paper than they were in real life.
Nihlus was the most dangerous Sith who ever lived, In theory. The reality was that his vast power was utterly worthless because by its very nature he couldn't control it. He was a mad starving dog that got put down like one the moment his abilities couldn't carry him, reinforced by the fact that Visas states he was just a man like any other when she looks under the mask.
In a similar vein, Sion was also incredibly dangerous on paper, but the reality was that the moment he ever stopped his single minded focus on keeping a hold on himself, he was dead.
Given that the main moral of the game is basically "right or wrong, always think for yourself", that was a damning indictment of him.

The fact that bioware saw Nihlus/the exile and saw nothing but a cool power for them to steal infuriates me no end to this day, even if they did give me some of the most hilarious times I've had on 4chan via /v/.

The prequels aren't terrible movies they're just not what people wanted. For some reason Star Wars is held to a really high critical pedestal. Critics were all shitting on R1 for not having deep emotional character developing moments in the main cast and it's like dude take a step back and realize this is the same caliber of movie as Marvel capeflicks. There really are, though. The aesthetics are COMPLETELY different. And, like it or not, nostalgia is a completely legit reason to enjoy something, which goes a long way for the OT.

Also, the acting and directing is way better in the OT, though I'd say the story behind the PT is actually more interesting.

Yeah, and that's why it's a good thing he didn't direct 5 and 6. The Prequels were STACKED with talent, yet no one gave a particularly good performance, except maybe Christopher Lee. I don't begrudge Lucas for his changes to the OT or for the story in the PT, but I think he was genuinely shit at directing actors.

It was very heavily implied that hundreds if not thousands of years of peace were unexpectedly interrupted by armies of rapidly produced clone soldiers threatened to overwhelm the mostly peaceful galaxy.

But Lucas wanted to do a bait and switch. In the end there really isn't any reason to call them the "clone wars" a more fitting name would be "the war of separation and aggressive expansion" or something like that.

ANH is in exremely flatly directed film with a simple plot.
TPM alternates between that same flat direction and the giddy energy of a man exited to be making films again with this new technology after years and years. It's much more high energy that ANH.
The story is also much meatier.

To make the gun more "Star Wars"ey slap some bits on top that are kind of like a scope, but theyre off to the side. Maybe something else hanging off the suppressor bit too.

The mask implies a breathing problem, either from breathing a different atmosphere, or a da.aged anatomy. If it's the latter, try making her look a little more sickly. Dark rings under the eyes, slightly paler skin, so on.

I feel like you need something for the arms. You dont have enough weight in her hands to warrant the "blankness" of the arms.

It wouldn't even be odd for different planets or factions to call the war differently. Especially former opposing worlds.

In the end the guys on Corouscant decided to call it the Clone Wars in the history books.

In universe: To improve the equipment of their soldiers to make them more effective.

Personally, I use to really like the phase 1 helmets more, but the phase 2 helmets grew on me over the years to the point that they're my favorite now.

It doesn't really make a difference anyway, since actual peace talks initiate later anyway on Mandalore and nothing comes of it- the two sides didn't come to an agreement, the Republic wasn't even willing to acknowledge that the CIS is a legitimate state.

Even JJ "real practical effects everyone!" Abrams ended up having to use CGI for things he had originally intended to do as practical-only, like BB-8 who ended up requiring digital assistance by way of a greenscreen puppeteer or just being all CGI. There's very few scenes of him that are actually just the practical puppet with no assistance.
