>>87972049>perhaps Tom would enjoy her weird, pushy anticsEverything we know of him so far very strongly suggests that he'd hate it. Only people deluded by shipping goggles think that he might enjoy it.
Janna's antics are not just "weird and pushy". She repeatedly invades Marco's privacy - even though he's made clear he hates it and wants it to stop. She doesn't respect the wishes or feelings of her "friends" at all. She steals his stuff, invades his home, reads his diary, has his personal info and probably monitors his email or whatever, breaks into his wallet and goes through his stuff, ridicules, humiliates and mocks him in public, constantly reminds him of his failures, tries to embarrass him in front of his date and takes delight in his pain.
So, either she treats her friends like this, or she's actually a turbobitch who bullies and dislikes Marco despite regularly hanging at his home.
Tom on the other hand has difficulties with anything not going as he envisioned it, to the point that he's getting angry at Star, the dream ex he's trying his hardest to win back, because she doesn't want to wear the headpiece he picked up or she doesn't want to get drenched in blood.
They don't match. At all. Perhaps some earlier time, when Janna was still only slightly weird, it was still somehow feasible to imagine that IF the show would start to develop her into a pseudo-Jackie chill and friendly girl who's only occasionally slightly sassy, it might have worked. But instead, the show is developing her into a different, more extreme direction.
I don't see how Tom is high maintenance? He likes ping pong, vidya, trashy cheesy pop boy band music, cereal. He's got a basketball hoop and arcade games in his room and dresses in ratty "rebel" clothing. Also it's Marco, the chill down-to-earth non-magical straight man of the show who's being built up as his best buddy, the one he has chemistry with and who calms him down and really helps him function.
