>>86940093>I will never understand people who think every single episode needs to be intensely involved in an ongoing plotyou're as bad as the execs demanding NO ongoing plot, in most of the past. get some perspective. this is still a lot more than cartoons used to have.
Fucking this.
I may not like every single story this show has done, but I think overall it does a pretty good job of alternating plot/lore episodes with those that add to characters/worldbuilding but don't necessarily change anything.
Not saying the magical alien princess cartoon has to be realistic, but even in reality important shit usually doesn't just happen one thing after the next, with no breaks in between. Space to breathe, lulls in the storm, and so on.
I do think one problem with the show is how stuff can happen to Star and Marco, change the status quo for them and their awareness of their situation, and then never be acknowledged until those same problems spring up once more. I get with 10-minute episodes you don't want to waste the limited time available recapping stuff the viewers literally just saw, but you'd think at some point Star and Marco would have talked about Toffee or the new wand or St. Olga's or Ludo or anything at all.
>how often do you think star rubs her bare vulva on everything marco owns, so as to scentmark it?Star's scent glands are in her cheeks, so never.
