It had clever writing, consistently great animation, great use of sound effects, solid physical comedy, an enjoyable group of main characters that really played off of each other, and really creative episode ideas. There were very few episodes that ended up going where I was expecting them to. I'd go so far as to argue that it was the consummate slapstick show. I'd say it's biggest flaw is that it's art style turns some people off, but it works amazingly well when animated.

It's the little things that make me really like it. In comparison to a lot of modern animation, there's a lot more variation in camera angles and use of lighting than most shows currently airing. The music's also surprisingly well done, and it's kind of nice to hear real instruments being used in a currently airing cartoon. It also ended up going in places that nobody expected it to at first, which made watching the big reveals all the more interesting. Biggest complaint would have to be the inconsistent art and animation quality in season 1, but season 2 mostly addressed all of that.
