I'm a little weirded-out that the family has 11 kids. Rabbits would have made sense for that number, but it's more manageable and relatable with fewer sisters than Savino pitched as he said here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASonel5GSscThe network may have caught on to the implication of sex and potential appeal to furries.
I thought the construction of the script in the pilots and 114 was kind of like
Family Guy: one-line catchphrases for each sister's input and side-imagined scenarios. But in 110, Lincoln's 4th-wall narration was like
Everybody Hates Chris, a little more refined and actually pertinent. In "The Sweet Spot", I laughed at what ended up happening
to the car. Also, the music sounded like a Red Hot Chili Peppers song, and another sounded like a song I can't quite name from the early 90's.
In "Hand-Me-Downs", I laughed at
"temperature of 102", "clod" on the bike frame, "Where's Lynn's hand me down when I need it?", "Pink bike?!" [covers hog's eyes], "You could be OUR leader. We'll call you sweet beat." (that line was cute, too)In "Sleuth or Consequences",
Lynn's puns when Lincoln interrogates her are great. The genie lamp on the diaper trash can Lincoln knocked over that began releasing stink lines was a funny touch.Overall, I like how it has relatable sibling situations that haven't been talked about much on other shows or aren't generally seen from a kid's perspective. The harem-like aspect is also unusual for western shows as well as the insights from how varied girls can be and how to grow up being the only male.
Yeah, I'll continue to see how it goes.
