>>79056131I agree, it was never given the limelight in the more accessible channel which is certainly a shame. However, Disney has done a good job marketing it. Giving it advertising spots during big GF episodes from what I saw, I imagine that was what first got me interested in the show.
However, much of DXD's popularity was purely from Gravity Falls, so when it's done I'm not sure what they're likely to do with the channel. Depending on if it draws in enough as it currently stands as a premium channel, they may have to look to bolster what airing cartoons they have on it to entrench themselves.
Or, they could go the opposite route and consider it not a positive enough venture to support in it's current state. That's the enigma in all this, just how are Disney going to predict life of the channel after Gravity Falls; considering their main channel is going to be full of super cheap live action shows that they can churn out by the dozen.
Ideally they'd switch to a non-premium model, but I can't see that happening. So I'm predicting they'll try to strengthen their current position and see how viewership changes over the year. As a result, their stronger IP's like Star vs. should get some love in the form of more episodes and more resource allocation.
>>79057233>maybe we could get a commercial or something during or after the gravity falls finaleThis is the most likely thing I'm banking on to happen, or at least I hope so. It likely helped the first season a lot.
As for lack of information, I wouldn't be too surprised if they've locked down on that stuff, considering the mouse was thorough enough to snipe streams during the big episodes of season 2 GF.
