It's fine.
Brittany and the other cheerleaders have gone to a weekend training camp without you, but that's fine.
Like, you know you'd be more than fine to take part even with a sprained ankle, but Brittany said to stay, and Brittany knows best.
Brittany knows best.
But for once in your highschool life you wish she wasn't so perfect.
The school bell rings, signalling the end of the day.
You arrive at the gymnasium before you realize you're running on auto.
You sigh dejectedly as you sit at the edge of the stands, your head in your hands.
You even came to school today wearing your cheerleader uniform.
Suddenly the door bursts open, and Star Butterfly tumbles in, beating a two-headed monster over the head with her wand.
More monsters pile in after them, quickly surrounding your classmate.
"Lost Izalith Bed of Chaos!"
Star's chant is met with screams of terror from the monsters, who are quickly incapacitated by the bolts of red lightning pouring from Star's wand.
A burning jolt courses through your body, and you spasm and writhe in agony along with the monsters.
You hear a screeching voice cry "Retreat!" through the fog of pain, and you become aware of Star standing over you as the monsters file through a hole in space.
"Sabrina! Are you alright?"
You try to respond but only manage to groan and roll your eyes, but you feel yourself recovering.
You hear the door open again, and more inhuman figures scramble towards the portal and away from the approaching figure of Marco Diaz.
"Sabrina? Star, what happened?"
"I don't know, I didn't think anybody would be in here," she says as Marco runs through some basic first aid.
"Don't worry about it. Sabrina? Can you hear me? Can you give me a response?"
You struggle to breathe for a moment, but you manage to nod weakly and look up at the two.
"Good, she's concious and able to respond," Marco mutters. "Do you think you can get up?"
You clear your dry throat and manage to swallow before answering.
