Plus I've never heard an american do ... well, pretty much any convincing British accent, and those they aim at tend to be squarely "cockney-estuary-bingbong-gavnah". Even broad regional accents are off the table, and Peter Sallis is a very specific accent that even many English can't do. If an American voice actor could nail that, I'd be beyond impressed.
