KSBD is at its best when it's doing weird anime-meets-abrahamic-cosmic-horror. The fights and the greater conflict between Alison, the Demiurges, the Angels, and the Devils are where it's at its best. The bits about the relationships about anyone within Alison's group are... not where Abaddon's best lies. It's not BAD, but KSBD does violence, politicing, and cosmic horror better than it does interpersonal relationships between people who aren't despicable villains.
Start here at link related and go up until the Jojo reject throws a needle through the stone chick's forehead (3-48), not the beginning. If you find this fun, go back and start at the beginning. If you don't find this part fun and interesting, you probably won't be interested in the rest. For what it's worth, this part posted on /tg/ is what got me hooked.https://killsixbilliondemons.com/comic/ksbd-3-42/
