Naturally, to avoid him getting too overpowered as time passes, each time he goes to a new world, he would NOT retain the skills, spells, and levels he'd gained in one world when going to a new one.
We could also explore what the whole ordeal would be like to him on an emotional level. Naturally, because he chooses each time to go to a new world when summoned, there are folks he always has to leave behind, who may or may not resemble loved ones from his original world. It'd probably lead to a Spidey who certainly cares quite a bit, yet remains emotionally distant, because he assumes that it would be better if they didn't get attached to him. He doesn't want to break anyone's heart, after all.
