DiMaggio actually HAS range tho.

I remember on one convention panel him and Diedirch Bader switched roles so he did a decent BATB Batman and Bader did Aquaman.

the other problem is that Blum's go-to voice is honestly can be duplicated by dozens of other VAs...I was playing one of the FEAR expansions a few months back and Blum boi is there along with this other guy. It sounded so much like it was just steve blum talking to himself I actually looked it up to make sure they weren't that fucking cheap.

Worst it was for me was playing Dynasty Warriors 5 for me because you could have moments where the "bold" Spike voice fights against the "throaty" Spike voice and then a generic grunt threatens you in the regular Spike voice.

it's like saying most of Rob Paulsens roles just sound like Raph from ninja turtles. I mean there are motes of his voice there, but no. as well he's just done so many goddamn VA gigs that it's humanly impossible to have that much variation.

Troy recently got pissed because Namco didn't bring him back for Tales of Vesperia Remastered, and instead used his old clips, probably because he was asking for a payroll higher than everyone else

Mel Blanc being all the Male Looney Toons characters and June Foray being all the female ones.

There have been plenty of one voice voice actors going back to when they also got work on radio, though. Like, Phil Harris only ever sounded like Phil Harris.

That's also because animation is either lower budget and considered for children or uses celebrity VAs
Over in Japan VAs are celebs, because animation isn't treated like it's just for kids

I feel like if you hear a voice actor too many times you can just recognize them no matter what.
Like no matter how much range they have I can recognize people like Jeff Bennett or Jennifer Hale pretty damn quickly.
